M-Fund is a VC that works.

M-Fund VC started as a club of private investors led by venture capitalist Lior Elkan. By applying a unique scouting methodology, and professional VC work, our investors have enjoyed exposure to superior ventures and expect outstanding returns.

Lior has achieved an average of 187% Gross IRR in 12 SPVs ($20M+ AUM) and MOIC of X4.9 from 2019'Q3 until 2023’Q1. Lior has a solid multi-discipline technological background and experience identifying promising startups, including unicorns, in their infancy.

Based on this success, M-Fund is fundraising a VC fund to focus on the VC platform, do what we know - back visionary entrepreneurs, and keep outperforming.

Lior Elkan

Lior was an Investment Manager at Hyundai Motor Company. He consulted family offices, startups, and corporates and was Glilot Capital's Principal. He has been an active angel investor and a board member in portfolio startups of his investors' club.

Lior holds a B.Sc in Physics (Summa Cum Laude), B.Sc and M.Sc in Electrical Engineering (Magna Cum Laude) from Tel Aviv University, and an MBA from The Technion focusing on entrepreneurship & management of technology-intensive firms. Lior is an alumnus of Coolwater (previously Oper8t), a program for emerging fund managers.

M-Fund Club as a Test Fund

Since 2019 M-Fund Club has invested in 12 portfolio companies to demonstrate the potential of the VC fund.

Past investments include investments the managing partner invested outside the inventors' club scope, such as an angel investor.

M-Fund has adopted an opportunistic strategy to maximize returns by backing domain-expertise entrepreneurs from seed to growth, mainly in enterprise software and deep-tech, such as software infrastructure and AI applications.
